Training For Work

GREAN provides employment and training for those who experience barriers to employment, long term unemployed and school leavers, and is a major local employer in an area of supersparse population and rural deprivation.

GREAN has created a supportive workplace within a busy social enterprise that provides a platform for training for work. We aim to improve levels of confidence and employability in trainees by absorbing them into our workforce for the period of their employment or placement with us. Our work is regular and routine, requires a reasonable level of physical fitness, attention to good timekeeping and attendance, an awareness and attention to Health and Safety in the workplace, and politeness and tolerance in communication with the public and fellow workers. Trainees are placed within the workforce to suit their interest and capability, are allowed to get used to regular work at a pace they can cope with, and encouraged to to achieve their potential.

Training providers wishing to place clients should contact Fiona MacDonald 01408 634253, or email   in the first instance. We usually have vacancies for Trainee placements and enquiries are welcome.
