How To Use Your Box
A WELL-FILLED BOX HELPS US DELIVER OUR SERVICE EFFICIENTLY
Your box will be emptied every week you put it out. For collection days, please see the Collection Schedule page.
What goes in the bags
At each emptying you will receive a large plastic bag. Please put the following items in the bag, and tie the handles before collection.
Plastic drinks bottles (tops removed and put in bag)
Plastic milk bottles
Food cans
Drinks cans
Please wash all these before putting them in the bag. Leave labels on, but PLEASE do not put anything else in the bag, especially glass. The bags are handled many times and the glass gets broken.
What goes in the boxes 
If you have plastic carrier bags, please put the following items in separate bags - carrier bags are ideal - and place the bags in the box.
- Newspaper, magazines, office paper
- Aluminium foil
- Cardboard
- Glass
- Textiles and shoes
- Electric cable
Your box cover keeps the contents dry, prevents them blowing out, and increases the capacity of the box.
Other items
Bicycles and lawnmowers can be left next to your box, but please ensure they are clearly labelled for us to collect. We don't want to pick up someone's much-loved bike by mistake!
